Short Summary
This article explains how to prepare original artwork for scanning, whether you bring it to our Pensacola studio or ship it to us.
Quick Answer
We scan original artwork locally in Pensacola and accept mail-in artwork for artists outside Northwest Florida. Pack artwork carefully, include your contact information, and contact us before shipping if the piece is fragile, oversized, or unusual.
Before You Begin
- Final pricing is confirmed at intake.
- The current maximum listed scanning size is 60x60.
- Special handling, condition, or oversized artwork may require a custom quote.
- Mail-in artwork should be packed to prevent bending, rubbing, moisture, or
surface damage.
How It Works
Step 1: Review the scanning page
Start with the Original Artwork Scanning page to review current pricing, available sizes, and service details.
Step 2: Decide local drop-off or mail-in
Local customers can bring artwork to our Pensacola studio. Artists outside the area can ship artwork to us.
Step 3: Prepare the artwork
Make sure the artwork is clean, dry, and ready to handle. Avoid loose particles, wet media, unstable frames, or packaging that presses directly against the art surface.
Step 4: Pack mail-in artwork carefully
Use sturdy packaging, rigid support, protective layers, and enough padding to prevent bending or surface damage in transit.
Step 5: Wait for intake confirmation
We review each piece and confirm final pricing, handling needs, and scan details.
What You Receive
Current scanning output includes:
- High-resolution TIFF, 300 DPI, ProPhoto RGB.
- Print-ready JPEG, 300 DPI, Adobe RGB 1998.
- Web JPEG, 2000px long edge, sRGB.
The scanning page also notes file storage and delivery as part of the service.
