Understanding Finishing Options - Rolled Canvas Prints

Rolled Canvas Prints are printed on canvas and shipped unstretched in a protective tube. They are a good fit when you or your framer will handle the final stretching, framing, or mounting. If you want a finished canvas ready for the wall, choose a Gallery Wrapped Canvas Print.

Choose Satin or Matte

• Satin: a soft sheen with richer contrast. Consider it for photography, dark images, and vivid color.
• Matte: a non-reflective look. Consider it for paintings, mixed media, or bright display lighting.

Allow enough canvas for your finishing method

The order tool offers borderless and added 1/4-inch, 1-inch, and 2-inch canvas borders. Added canvas can give a framer or stretcher material to work with around the image. The amount needed depends on the planned frame or stretcher bars, so confirm the allowance with the person finishing the piece before ordering. Review the image crop and border selection in the order preview.

A rolled print does not arrive stretched or ready to hang. For a finished canvas with stretcher bars, edge treatment, and hanging hardware, use Gallery Wrapped Canvas Prints.

Before you order

1. Choose Satin or Matte for the look and lighting you want.
2. Ask your framer or stretcher how much extra canvas is required.
3. Check size, crop, and border in the order preview. For a larger project, consider a Test Print first.
