Choose a Giclée Fine Art Print when you want a loose paper print for framing, signing, matting, or an art edition. The main finishing decisions are the paper surface and whether to add a white border.
Choose your paper
- Hot Press Bright: smooth matte paper for crisp illustration and fine detail.
- Cold Press Bright: lightly textured matte paper for paintings and mixed media.
- Photo Rag: a soft, velvety matte surface for art and photography.
- William Turner: pronounced texture for watercolor and other work where the paper surface is part of the look.
- FineArt Baryta: a glossy fine art paper for deep blacks and high contrast images.
See the paper photographs and comparisons on the Giclée Fine Art Prints page. If you want to feel the surfaces before committing to an edition, request a media sample set.
Decide how the print will be presented
A borderless print carries the image to the paper edge. An added white border gives space for handling, signing, or matting. Choose the border with your frame or mat opening in mind, then check the final dimensions and crop in the order preview. The print border guide explains how border choices affect the finished print.
Giclée Fine Art Prints are loose paper prints. If the piece needs a rigid backing, compare Mounted Prints. If it should arrive protected for retail sale or gifting, compare the packaged print options.
Before you order
- Choose a paper by the image style and the lighting where it will be displayed.
- Confirm the image size, crop, and any border space needed for signing or framing.
- Review each print in the order preview before checkout. For an important edition, consider a Test Print first.
